We took home the Honorable Mention win in the Multicultural category in the 2025 Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award! This might not sound like a big deal, but it absolutely is! The INDIES are competed by thousands of books, and the contest winners are chosen by experienced librarians and booksellers. There are innumerable really excellent books in the competition, often produced by big indie publishers. In our category, the three books that beat us were all from long-established indie presses: we were the only winner that was two clueless ladies just trying their best and muppeting out a great book on their own without a support team. And our first book, moreover! (Hence extra cluelessness.) Huzzah!
