We queried nearly 300 agents (294, to be precise), and while we received much encouragement, our project fit no one’s list. We often heard a version of “Wow, this is great and you can really write, but we don’t know any publisher to sell this to.” :/ Ann thus created her own tiny publisher, Swallow and Quill Literary, and she and Monique self-published through it, doing all the necessary work ourselves. We therefore hold all the rights.
