We have wrapped up our agent querying. We were unsuccessful after 294 agents (although we did receive much encouragement), and that’s OK: we’re now nearly ready to self-publish the book. This was the harder route, as we had to do everything ourselves (editing, cover, layout, copyright\/ISBNs\/etc, and Ann starting up a micro-publisher, Swallow and Quill), but fortunately we had decent experience and capacity for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first book is nearly completely ready. (It was much harder doing it ourselves, but also much faster than it would have been through traditional publishing: that would have seen an end-2025 pub date at earliest!) We expect a launch date somewhere near Valentine’s Day 2025: over the next 2-3 weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will be available as an ebook at Amazon as well as softcover print-on-demand there and at Ingram-Spark. After launch we’ll be working hard to get the book into as many bookstores, libraries, etc as we can! We’ll update the availability here in the blog. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
